About Us

Our Story

Typically the construction industry is heavily paper based, which is crazy right? Clever people, undertaking super technical tasks, with significant budget and resource pressure, relying on screeds of paper, email chains and outdated pdfs to keep the job or business on track. Reporting efforts are typically manual, time consuming and require a lot of effort to navigate and generate.

With loads of experience working in this reality, Dave and Tessa cried 'enough is enough' and founded Hoffcon in 2018. Its core driver is to show that construction can be achieved with a high level of excellence and a provide a deeper level of insight using sustainable technology methods.

Our Vision

Our team comes from a variety of different backgrounds bringing together a mixed pot of like-minded professionals who are always looking for smarter ways to work using technology as our foundation.

We pride ourselves on being 100% paper free and love to work with clients who are ready to embrace a new way of working. We all bring unique skills to the table which translates to customised solutions for our clients.

We are pushing boundaries to lead the way in construction using smart solutions that inspire the future way of working.

Let's talk
about that unicorn

The unicorn is a mythical symbol that is associated with strength, purity, and a bit of magic.  The vision for the company is to change construction in NZ.

We are starting from scratch, so we have the ability to create something pure, untainted by the way things have always been done.  We are going to be doing new things in a different way, and to some people this is seen as magic.

The unicorn to us is a great symbol of our vision and what we are looking to create here at Hoffcon.

 Our Values

Openness

Being open to new ideas, creating open conversations to understand different viewpoints

We rebel against the reason 'because it's the way we've always done it'. We want to be open to new ideas, thoughts, viewpoints to make sure we are always adapting to the ever-changing environment in which we work.
