One of our specialties is bridge design. We have experience in designing bridges ranging from 6m long to 641m long, with spans up to 75m. This includes the design of concrete, prestressed concrete, steel girders, bored and driven piles, and shallow foundations.

We have design expertise in all levels of seismic design and analysis complexity, from force-based equivalent static design through to non-linear time-history analysis and everything in between.

 

We have experience in isolating bridges from earthquakes using lead-rubber bearing or by allowing them to slide on the ground. We deliver cost-effective design solutions that can achieve a superior level of service following a large event than more traditional methods.

 

We are also more than comfortable designing for liquefaction and soil movements in locations where the ground around a bridge is known to be unstable as a result of earthquake shaking.
